‘Annual tyre throwing event’
Last week saw one of the highlights of the year the annual ‘tyre throwing event’ it’s the one day the wife really looks forward too, the tyres are normally full of smelly old water which make it even more appealing. This event follows silage making where we cut the grass & shove it all into a big heap, nowt much on this year though nobbat half a crop so the heaps not quite so big this time. We have to trample the stuff down with the tractor to make it solid prior to covering it with a plastic sheet, this is also real fun if it’s windy but this year it was quiet so a little boring, the tyre throwing follows, we chuck loads of tyres on top of the plastic sheet to stop it blowing away & to keep air out of the clamp otherwise the grass would go manky. The missus can’t wait till next year though I’ve told her we may do another crop later this year so that’s made her day.
